Midlands squash sensation Savannah Ingledew is taking up a scholarship in Britain as part of a plan to become a rare South African professional in the sport.
The excited 16-year-old from Nottingham Road says she will be attending Epsom College, a school in England that is well known for squash, then hopes to join a university over there while continuing to develop her game.
Her big ambition is to join the world tour of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) in coming years. At the weekend, she added another trophy to her cabinet by winning the 2022 KwaZulu-Natal women’s Under-19 title in Durban.
