Nada Abbas
A healthy jump in the rankings has been the reward for consistently excellent squash for 22-year-old Nada Abbas.
The Egyptian, who ended 2021 as World No.28, reached her career-best of World No.12 this month after an impressive series of results.
While Abbas rightly deserves credit for her excellent performance in knocking out World No.5 Joelle King to reach the CIB PSA World Championships Cairo quarter-final, the performance will not have come as a shock to those following her career.
Abbas has played consistently well all season, reaching the last 16 of four Platinum events.
