The 2021 Kununurra Squash Club season has wound up, with The Bum Fluffs edging out Scared Hitless to take home the year’s third season final.
The two sides battled it out on December 8 at the Kununurra Leisure Centre, in a tight competition that saw The Bum Fluffs enter the final game with five match wins to Scared Hitless’ four.
Team captain Brad Pedrotti sealed a 3-1 win in the last match to secure the grand final for The Bum Fluffs.
It was an extra successful night for premiers Jaclyn Rawlings and Tom Kelly, who also won their individual matches and top awards for their lines.
They were joined by Paul Mock, Ellice Halls, Michael Gasmier, Julie Moore, Luke Hand, Angela McTaggart, Matthew Richards, Percy Nicholson, and James Webb as top line performers across the competition’s 10 grades.
Squash the Competition was awarded the Wooden Spoon award.
About 60 players participated in this season’s competition, with next year’s competition scheduled to begin in February.
