The women’s final is the first to take centre stage with World No.1 Nouran Gohar facing home hero Amanda Sobhy to see who can win the Tournament of Champions trophy for the first time.
They are followed on court by the men’s final which will see Egypt’s World No.2 Ali Farag go up against Peru’s World No.5 Diego Elias for the PSA World Tour Gold title.

Nouran Gohar v Amanda Sobhy
The women’s final will see both Gohar and Sobhy aiming to win the iconic Tournament of Champions title for the first time in their careers.
For Gohar, tonight marks her fifth final in a row, with the Egyptian coming out on top in three of those. Meanwhile, for Sobhy this is her second final of the season following her Oracle NetSuite Open victory last year in San Francisco.
The two players have met 11 times previously on the PSA World Tour, with American Sobhy holding a narrow 6-5 advantage in the head-to-head over the World No.1.

In recent times it has been Gohar that has been getting the better of the American though, winning the last four meetings with Sobhy’s last victory coming at the 2019 Manchester Open.
Their last match was not so long ago in the semi-finals of the Allam British Open where Gohar showed exactly why she is No.1 in the world with a rampant 3-0 victory in 29 minutes.
Since then, Sobhy has had time to reset and admitted in her recent interview with the New York Times that she has been analysing all the ways she can get the better of Gohar the next time they meet.
Spurred on by the home crowd in New York, could this be the moment that Sobhy upsets the order?
This week has been relatively straightforward for top seed Gohar, only dropping one game throughout the tournament which came in last night’s semi-final against Sobhy’s compatriot Olivia Fiechter and spending a grand total of 105 minutes on court.
